Royal Brunei Armed Forces’ officer visits Vietnam

Defense Minister General Phung Quang Thanh made the suggestion during his reception on Monday for the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Commander, Major General Pehin Bin Abdullah, who is leading a delegation on an official friendship visit to Vietnam from June 7-9 at the invitation of the Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty. Minister Thanh said he believes that the visit will contribute to boosting defense ties between the two countries, for peace and stability in the region and the world. Commander Pehin Tawih thanked the Vietnamese defense chief for the warm welcome, saying that his visit was intended to promote bilateral defense connections. That day, the Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, Sen. Lt. Gen. Do Ba Ty also held a meeting with the RBAF Commander.
