(VOVworld) -  Boosting military contacts between Russia and ASEAN was the focus of a meeting in Moscow on Tuesday, attended by these countries’ defense ministers.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Russia and ASEAN mapped out orientations for cooperation in counter-terrorism, maritime security, natural disaster relief, military medicine, and unexploded ordnance clearance. He said bilateral cooperation will not be limited to these areas. Meetings at all levels will be held, first at the defense minister level, to discuss cooperation in military technology.
