Russia calls for UN Security Council meeting on Western arms supply to Ukraine
(VOVWORLD) -Russia has requested a meeting of the UN Security Council on June 29 on the topic of Western arms supplies to Ukraine and their influence on attempts at a diplomatic settlement of the conflict, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, announced on Monday.
Dmitry Polyansky noted that this meeting will be a response to a meeting on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine, which Western countries have requested for June 23.
French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Monday that the French-Italian SAMP/T anti-missile defense system is now being deployed in Ukraine.
The system, designed to protect ground facilities from an air attack, takes into account the enemy’s possible use of drones and electronic interference.
