Russia, China seek to defuse tensions on Korean Peninsula
(VOVWORLD) - Russia said on Thursday that its Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov and Assistant to the Chinese Foreign Minister Kong Xuanyou have met in Beijing to discuss Northeast Asia’s security, particularly measures to ease tension on the Korean Peninsula.

Russia said on Thursday that its Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov and Assistant to the Chinese Foreign Minister Kong Xuanyou have met in Beijing to discuss Northeast Asia’s security, particularly measures to ease tension on the Korean Peninsula. The Russian Ministry said both sides are concerned about North Korea’s missile tests and intensified military activities in the region. They agreed to cooperate at all levels to cool down confrontations on the Korean Peninsula.
