(VOVworld) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said in a phone call on Sunday that they denounce a US missile strike on a Syrian air base 2 days earlier. They agreed that the aggressive US actions against Syria were not permissible and violated international law. The two leaders called for an objective investigation into an attack involving chemical weapons in the Syrian town of Khan Sheikhun in Idlib province last Tuesday. They said Russia and Iran are ready to deepen their cooperation in fighting terrorism.
