Russia, the US, and EU agree to solve the Ukrainian crisis through dialogue
(VOVworld) – The US, Russia, and the EU have agreed that the crisis in Ukraine could be solved through dialogue. The US Secretary of State John Kerry spoke to the press on Wednesday in Paris, France, after meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, adding that the parties involved had agreed that confrontation could no benefits to any side. According to a Russian Foreign Ministry representative, all parties should support the Ukrainian people to implement a deal signed on February 21
st on reforming the Constitution, establishing a government of national unity, and organizing presidential elections. He added that Moscow would continue to maintain dialogue with its western partners on issues regarding Ukraine. Another ministerial meeting between the US and Russia took place in Rome, Italy on Thursday to discuss the crisis in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the Russian representative to NATO, Alexander Grushko, criticized the alliance for applying a double-standard and aping policies from the “Cold War” in its relations with Moscow, as NATO said it will re-consider bilateral cooperation with Russia amidst the escalating crisis in Ukraine.
NATO chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen said that NATO has approved a decision on promoting cooperation with the new leaders in Ukraine, including possible joint military exercises. The final decision is expected to come out at NATO’s ministerial meeting in early April in Brussels.
