Russia will not take part in arm race: Putin
(VOVWORLD) - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday said that Russia has never, does not want, and will not be dragged into an arm race, but his country will ensure its security.

The statement came during his meeting with the Russian Security Council when he was asked about a US missile test last Sunday. President Putin said the US has violated the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty sign in 1987.
Mr. Putin ordered an analysis of the level of threat for Russia created by the US’s action and prepare a "symmetric response". He added that Russia remains open to fair and constructive with the US to regain trust and ensure global security.
