(VOVworld) – The common goal of Russia and Germany is to fully normalize their bilateral relations, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.

President Putin and visiting German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel said on Thursday that they are aware of the current state of bilateral relations and all the difficulties they need to overcome. Putin said Russia is looking forward to a visit by Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The same day, Gabriel had a discussion with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov about Ukraine’s crisis, the Syrian peace talks, and Europe’s security.
