(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s two northern tourist sites, Sa Pa and Ninh Binh, have been listed by travel magazine Trips to Discover as one of 14 up-and-coming destinations in Asia to visit this year. The magazine said these up-and-coming destinations are some of the top places to explore before everyone else discovers them too.
According to Trips to Discover, “Sapa is located in the far north, surrounded by dramatic beauty with its rice paddies world-famous. It sits high up in the Hoang Lien Son Mountains and makes a great base for trekking or mountain biking tours with routes that will bring you past magnificent waterfalls, through rice paddies, and around charming mountain villages home to families known for making fantastic local handicrafts.”
The magazine described Ninh Binh as far less popular than Ha Long Bay, but said “it boasts hundreds of limestone monoliths that topped by vibrant greenery that rise from the ground, scattered throughout the city with rivers flowing through.”
Trips to Discover recommend readers to take a boat trip through the caves in Trang An and visit Bai Dinh and Bich Dong, there area many Buddhist pagodas.
