(VOVworld) – Saudi Arabia’s Health Ministry announced on Sunday six new Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) corona virus cases in the week of June 28 to July 4.

The six new cases were reported in Riyadh and Damam, bringing the total number cases to 1,045, including 460 deaths. Meanwhile, the health ministry of the Republic of Korea is also coping with a MERS epidemic. The ministry reported no new infections on Monday and no deaths for six consecutive days. The epidemic has killed 33 people in the Republic of Korea, which plans to declare an end to its epidemic if 28 days pass without a new case reported.
