Schedule for US-North Korea summit revealed
(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un are scheduled to meet at 9am (local time) in Singapore on June 12, the White House reported on Monday, 3 days after Trump hosted a high-ranking North Korean delegation at the White House and received a letter from Mr. Kim.

The Singaporean government has designated a special event area surrounding the Shangri-La hotel from June 10-14 comprising the districts of Tanglin, Newton, and Orchard, where Singapore’s foreign ministry and the US Embassy are located. Security has also been tightened around the area.
On Monday, Senate Democrats sent President Trump a list of conditions for the US-North Korea summit. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and other 6 senators said they will support the lifting of the North Korean sanctions as long as Pyongyang cancels all of its nuclear programs, adding that they want a deal to check its chemical and biological weapons.
