SEA Games 32: Vietnam bag 7th gold medal

(VOVWORLD) -Athlete Pham Tien San finished first in the men's Duathlon event on Sunday morning. This is the 7th gold medal of the Vietnamese delegation at the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia.

San finished the combined 10km running, 40km cycling and 5km running to the finish line.  

Meanwhile, in the women's Duathlon event, Vietnamese athlete Nguyen Thi Phuong Trinh won a silver medal. 

Duathlon is one of the events of the Olympic with strict competition regulations. At the 31st SEA Games in 2022, Pham Tien San brought home the historic gold medal and this year he successfully defended his first position. 

Vietnamese swimmer Pham Thanh Bao excellently won a gold medal and broke the SEA Games record in the men’s 100m breaststroke.

Athlete Pham Thanh Bao entered the final of the men's 100m breaststroke this morning. Vovinam artist Do Phuong Thao entered the women’s 65kg combat event after defeating after defeating Myanmar’s Hnin Nandar Oo.

The Vietnamese team beat the Philippines to win the women’s 3x3 basketball gold medal on Sunday. This was a historic moment for the Vietnamese team as they won regional gold for the first time.

Another event that is expected to win gold for Vietnam Sunday is the men's 4x200m freestyle relay with the participation of athletes Nguyen Huu Kim Son, Hoang Quy Phuoc, Tran Hung Nguyen and Nguyen Huy Hoang, who won gold medal at the 31st SEA Games last year.
