“Seafood from Norway” trademarked products to hit WinMart shelves
(VOVWORLD) - Seafood imported from Norway and sold at the WinMart supermarket chain across Vietnam will be labeled with the “Seafood from Norway” trademark under an agreement signed in Hanoi on Tuesday between the Norwegian Seafood Council, Masan Group, and Golden Gate Group.
Asbjorn Warvik Rortveit, Southeast Asia Regional Director of the Norwegian Seafood Council, hailed the enormous potential of aqua products in Vietnam including Norwegian salmon.
Cooperation between leading retailers and food and beverage service providers in Vietnam will boost the partnership between the two countries in sustainable fishery development and bring Vietnamese consumers the best seafood from Norway.
“We are committed to serving customers top-class, safe and environmentally-friendly products that meet international standards,” Nguyen Tien Dung is Deputy General Director of WinCommerce.
Since the beginning of this year, Norway exported more than 21,000 tonnes of seafood to Vietnam, up 21% from the same period of 2023.
