(VOVworld) - A second legal policy dialogue was held in Hanoi on Wednesday to discuss revisions to the Criminal Law in line with the 2013 Constitution. In his address, Deputy Minister of Justice Dinh Trung Tung emphasized that revisions should respect and ensure human rights, and the fundamental rights and obligations of citizens as stipulated in the 2013 Constitution and in line with international treaties to which Vietnam is a party. UNDP Country Director Louise Chamberlain presented recommendations mentioned in the UN Human Rights Council’s report relating to the Criminal law and international treaties that Vietnam has signed. The participants presented major policies and solutions to the amendments to the Criminal Law.
