Security for 37th ASEAN Summit ensured
(VOVWORLD) - The ASEAN 2020 Sub-Committee for Security and Health Care convened on Friday to prepare for the upcoming 37th ASEAN Summit.

In his address, Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, who is also Head of the Committee, highlighted the importance of the 37th ASEAN Summit in the ASEAN Chairmanship Year 2020 and urged for absolute safety and security for the event saying it would contribute to strengthening Vietnam’s status internationally. Mr. Nam asked the Sub-Committee to mobilize all forces and vehicles and urged the police force to closely monitor local situation and make prompt forecast to ensure security and safety for the summit and related events.
