(VOVWORLD) -The Ministry of Public Security on Friday officially announced the identities of the the 39 Vietnamese victims found dead in a container truck in the UK last month. Vietnamese authorities have contacted the victims’ families to provide them with related information.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has sent a letter of condolences to the families and relatives of the victims. Vietnamese police have arrested 11 people suspected to be involved in the smuggling of the victims. British police have charged two men with manslaughter as well as human trafficking and immigration offenses.
