(VOVworld) - Security was tightened at South Urumqi train station one day after the blast that killed three people and injured 79 others in a suspected terror attack. Beijing is tightening security patrol at crowded areas. In Xinjiang, local authority has deployed all security forces to tighten security in the city and provided the best medical care for victims. Social security and order have been restored and many people with light injuries were discharged from hospital.

Two of those killed were suspected assailants who detonated explosive devices they were carrying. The two attackers who were killed is said to have long been influenced by extremist religious thought and participated in extremist religious activities.
