(VOVworld) – A national seminar opened in Hanoi on Wednesday to discuss the Communist Party of Vietnam’s application of Marxism-Leninism. Delegates agreed that one of the decisive factors in the CPV’s robust growth was the creative application and development of Marxism-Leninism in Vietnam.

In his address, Standing member of the Party Secretariat Le Hong Anh said the current situation had prompted the Party to improve its leadership and fighting capacity. He also underlined the importance of Party building: “The Party must be politically strong and consistent with Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s Thoughts, the goal of national independence and socialism. The political will and qualifications of Party members and key managers should be improved. The fundamental principles of Party building should be maintained to ensure effective Party leadership.”

Discussions also focused on the Party’s theoretical development in the people’s democratic revolution.
