(VOVworld) – The National Assembly's Committee for Social Affairs and the UNFPA in Vietnam jointly organized a seminar in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday to discuss policies on gender equality, population, and development.

The event aimed to provide newly elected deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils of southern cities and provinces with the real situation, directions, and solutions to the issues.

Participants emphasized the need to revise laws to fine-tune the legal system with regard to gender equality.
