(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese Embassy in India has held a seminar on President Ho Chi Minh and his role in building Vietnam-India relations. Ambassador Ton Sinh Thanh told the seminar in Kolkata city, west Bengal, that President Ho Chi Minh was a great leader of Vietnamese people, a hero of national liberation, a world cultural figure as well as the first leader establishing a firm foundation for Vietnam-India relations.
Ambassador Thanh expressed his wish that the Vietnam-India Strategic Partnership will be enhanced in all sectors for the interests of their people and regional and global peace, stability, cooperation, and development.
President of the India-Vietnam Solidarity Committee, Geetesh Sharma, said Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh are two most famous foreign names among Indian people. He said from every aspect, President Ho Chi Minh is the most brilliant figure of the era. Representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy and the India-Vietnam Solidarity Committee laid a wreath at President Ho Chi Minh statue in Kolkata central park.
