Seminar seeks to apply Industry 4.0 technology in logistics
(VOVWORLD) - Governance of logistics and supply chains must be improved in the face of Industry 4.0, heard delegates at a seminar held in Hanoi on Friday.
Delegates also agreed on the need to boost international transactions in logistics via e-transactions or those made by phones or through social networks.
"There are many trade centers, super markets, convenience stores, and traditional markets in Hanoi. This means the city has a huge trading network with a correspondingly huge amount of commodities in circulation. It’s necessary to boost the application of Industry 4.0 technology in logistics such as transportation and storage in order to reduce costs," said Nguyen Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of Hanoi’s Department of Industry and Trade.
Vietnam is considered a potential market for developing logistics services.
