Senior Party official extends greetings on Buddha’s birth anniversary
(VOVWORLD) -Head of the Party Central Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission Truong Thi Mai on Sunday visited and extended greetings to Buddhist dignitaries in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on the occasion of the Buddha’s 2563rd birth anniversary.

Informing the dignitaries and followers them of the coming 3rd Vesak day to be held later this month in Vietnam, the official said over 500 delegations and many leaders of foreign countries are scheduled to attend the international event. Ms. Mai said the hosting of the event shows increasing prestige and international integration of Vietnamese Buddhism.
