The birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 2
nd, 1945, opened a new era for resistance and patriotic movements by the Vietnamese, Laotian, and Cambodian people, says Professor Chaleune Yiapaoheu, chairman of the Lao National Institute of Social Sciences. In an interview with the Vietnam News Agency, Professor Yiapaoheu talked about the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, its influence on the revolution in Laos, and Vietnam’s achievements over the past 7 decades. th, 1945, highlighting the day’s historical and political significance not only in Southeast Asia, but around the world. Yiapaoheu hailed Vietnam’s achievements and its transformation from a war-torn country into a more developed nation with an increasingly important position in the international arena. He emphasized the special friendship and solidarity between the two Parties, governments, and people of Laos and Vietnam, saying that these special bonds will continue forever.
