(VOVworld) – Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said on Saturday that Serbia is concerned about the worsening developments of the migration crisis for Serbia and other Balkan countries following the establishment of control centers and the halting of the free-movement Schengen Agreement.

Dacic made the statement at an informal meeting the same day of EU foreign ministers and EU membership candidates including Serbia, Albania, Turkey, Macedonia, and Montenegro in Amsterdam.
He said the implementation of these measures aims to prevent the flow of migrants to the EU, which will cause serious issues for Serbia, adding that Serbia cannot receive the migrants who have been rejected by EU nations. Serbia doesn’t have enough vehicles, human and financial resources to deal with the issue.
More than 20,000 people crossed Serbia on road to northern Europe during late months last year and resulted in security worries for Serbia.
