(VOVworld) – The Center for Women and Development of the Vietnam Women’s Union on Sunday kicked off a series of activities to raise awareness of domestic violence and honor family values.

Named “the connection of love in Vietnamese families”, the activities celebrate Vietnam Year of Family 2013 and the Vietnam Family Day on June 28^th. The week-long event in Hanoi will include a discussion of domestic violence with members of a project called “peaceful house”, an art performance, and an exhibition displaying new findings of violence forms and cases after 6 years launching the “peaceful house” model. This program will feature products made by the “peaceful house” members and by enterprises run by female entrepreneurs.
