(VOVworld) – A series of explosions took place in Ukraine on Thursday. A blast went off near a woodshop on in the central Kharkov early in the day. Although no information about possible casualties is available, Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the Ukrainian Interior Minister, described it as a terrorist act, adding that the shop owner is assisting Ukrainian troops in their military operation in eastern Ukraine. The Interior Ministry and Security Service are investigating the incident.

The same day, another bomb exploded under a coal cargo train in the southern city of Odessa, but no victims were reported. Anna Shevchuk, a spokeswoman for the Odessa department of the Security Service of Ukraine, the crime has been classified as a terrorist act.
