(VOVworld) – Four ships carrying New Year’s gifts for civilians and soldiers living in Truong Sa island district, Khanh Hoa province, departed from Cam Ranh military port on Monday.

Nguyen Viet Thuan, Chairman of Truong Sa district People’s Committee, said the 30 tons of gifts are from the Defense Ministry, and localities and social organizations nationwide to ensure that the people living in Truong Sa will enjoy Lunar New Year 2015.
Mr. Thuan said: “Vietnamese people inside and outside the country and social and religious organizations have paid special attention to improving the living conditions of the people in Truong Sa. Last year several organizations sent presents to Truong Sa.”
The same day, the High Command of Marine Zone 4 held a ceremony to send off soldiers being posted to Truong Sa archipelago.
