(VOVworld) – Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) and the National Environment Agency (NEA) confirmed on Tuesday another 26 locally-transmitted Zika cases, bringing the total up to 82. The majority of 26 new local infections were around the eastern Aljunied suburb where most of other cases have been clustered.

The NEA had inspected 5,000 out of 6,000 homes in the affected area and destroyed 39 breeding sites. The MOH has ordered all pregnant women, who have developed Zika symptoms, and married women, who were found positive with the Zika virus, to be tested no matter where they are, inside or outside Zika-hit areas.
