(VOVworld) – Singapore parliament speaker Halimah Yacob will visit Vietnam from April 2 to April 4. Prior to the visit, he told the Vietnam News Agency that the visit will be evidence of the fine development of relations between Vietnam and Singapore.

During the visit, Halimah will meet with National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, President Truong Tan Sang, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan, and National Assembly Vice-chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan. Halimah said relations between the Vietnamese and Singaporean parliaments have been strengthened through close cooperation, regular visit exchanges and contacts at regional and global parliamentary forums.
