Singapore PM arrives in Hanoi for official visit
(VOVWORLD) - Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong arrived in Hanoi on Sunday afternoon, starting a three-day official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Minh Chinh.

This is Mr. Lee’s fifth visit to Vietnam in his capacity as PM, demonstrating the closeness and cohesion between the countries.
The visit is part of a string of events celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Singapore.
PM Lee is set to attend a series of activities and important functions.
Vietnam and Singapore established diplomatic relations in 1973 and elevated the relationship to a Strategic Partnership in 2013.
Singapore is Vietnam’s leading economic partner in the region. Bilateral trade reached 9.15 billion USD in 2022, an 11.57% increase from 2021.
