Vietnam’s agencies have safely evacuated 5,200 Vietnamese and their family members in Ukraine, organized six flights to bring home nearly 1,700 people, and arranged for dozens of others to return home on commercial flights. All have been carried out in the spirit of publicity, transparency, and maximum convenience for the people.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, some people who have citizenship or valid documents issued by Ukraine have chosen to move to other countries and there are now only a few Vietnamese people staying in Ukraine for personal reasons.
