The organisation’s representatives from the US, UK, China, Denmark, Bangladesh, the Philippines and Vietnam shared experience in helping young people find jobs as well as measures to boost ties among policymakers, private sector and youngsters.
Erwin Nacuray, Deputy Country Director of the Save the Children in Vietnam, said the initiative aims to equip poor young people with necessary skills, relations and opportunities to find jobs or start their own businesses, thereby improving their income.
In Vietnam, the project had supported over 2,000 young people in Da Nang and Can Tho in 2014-2015, over 70 percent of them found jobs or had their own businesses.
