(VOVworld) – Son La city in Son La province marked its 5th founding anniversary on Saturday. In her address, National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong asked the city to mobilize all resources available to become a center in the northwestern region: “The city should continue to consolidate its political system, boost administrative reform, build up the party, administration, fatherland front, and mass organizations. Local resources should be used effectively to develop the economy sustainably. The city should continue the movement to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example and enhance the cultural values of ethnic groups in the area.”
To mark this occasion, the President presented Son La city with the Independence Order, Second Class.
