(VOVworld) – Miss South Africa Rolene Strauss was crowned Miss World on Sunday at a competition in London.

Strauss is 22 and a fourth-year medical student at the University of the Free State of Bloemfontein. Edina Kulcsar of Hungary was the runner-up and Elizabeth Safrit of the United States took third place.

Nguyen Thi Loan of Vietnam was one of the 25 finalists at the 2014 Miss World pageant. Nguyen Thi Loan, born in 1990, won the Miss Sea title at the Miss Vietnam 2010 pageant.
