(VOVWORLD) - The South Korean president’s office convened an emergency National Security Council session on Tuesday following the launch of two North Korean projectiles towards the sea earlier in the morning.

South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said North Korea fired two unidentified projectiles toward the sea from an inland area in South Pyongyan Province.
This is North Korea’s 8th launch in the past month. A US official said the US has received reports about North Korea’s latest launch and is examining the situation with regional allies.
