South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Thursday announced a peace initiative for the Korean peninsula, 17 years after former President Kim Dae-jung delivered the Berlin Declaration, which paved the way for the first inter-Korea Summit. During a speech at Korber Foundation as part of his visit to Germany for the G20 Summit,  Moon said the 2 Koreas must soon resume a dialogue to ease tension. He expressed his willingness to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to discuss any issues, from denuclearization to peace. President Moon proposed resuming the reunification program for families separated by the Korean War in the 1950s.
