At the UN Conference on Disarmament in Geneva, Mr.Choi said South Korea is committed to achieving complete denuclearization and building a lasting peace in the region. He said South Korea will continue to cooperate with its allies and partners to achieve the goal of complete denuclearization through peaceful means.
Denuclearization talks between the US and North Korea have been at standstill since the second US-North Korea summit in 2019 ended without any agreement. South Korea’s government is exerting efforts to resume negotiations with the Biden administration.
