(VOVWORLD) - South Korean Unification Minister Lee In-young on Sunday vowed to act "more quickly" to resume dialogue with North Korea, and called on Pyongyang to respond to offers for talks.

Lee spoke at an event concluding a Ministry-organized event in which dozens of people walked together for 13 days along the border to promote reunification.
It was the first of 10 such walks planned this year. Lee himself joined the walk for several days.
South Korea and the US have signaled their desire to resume talks with North Korea. Washington said it is ready to meet Pyongyang unconditionally.
North Korea said last Wednesday that it has not considered communicating with the US.
