A South Korean spokesman urged China on Thursday to take "strong and effective" measures to deal with the situation. Seoul has asked Beijing to crack down on any fishing vessels heading toward the area and warned that unregistered vessels would be confiscated.
The spokesman said China has pledged to make more efforts to address the issue. The two sides will hold the next round of talks in China in the second half of the year.
