South Korean military condemns the North’s missile test
(VOVworld) - South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) confirmed and condemned the launch of the North’s latest missile test early Sunday. South Korean military maintains heightened vigilance against any provocations by the North. It said Seoul and Washington closely shared information on the North's failed missile launch and reached an analysis it was a Musudan missile that is estimated to have a range of more than 3,000 kilometers.
Earlier, the Pentagon said that US military detected a failed North Korean missile launch near the northwestern city of Kusong. A Pentagon spokesman said that US strongly condemned this and North Korea's other recent missile tests, and warned to report this provocative act to the UN, and adding that the US commitment to South Korea's defense is "ironclad."
