(VOVWORLD) - South Korean President Moon Jae-in will make a five-day trip to the United States this week for his first face-to-face talk with US President Joe Biden, South Korea's Presidential Office announced Tuesday.
Their summit will be held at the White House on Friday afternoon (local time) followed by a joint press conference, according to Chung Man-ho, senior Cheong Wa Dae secretary for public communication.
The two leaders are expected to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation on COVID-19 vaccine production, climate change, and seek ways to resume the peace process involving North Korea's denuclearization.
President Moon will visit the US House of Representatives, where he will hold talks with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other House leaders.
On Friday, Moon will meet with US Vice President Kamala Harris at the White House, before his summit with Biden.
