(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh has asked southwestern provinces to accelerate agricultural restructuring.

He told a review meeting of the Southwestern Steering Committee in Can Tho on Friday that agricultural restructuring must reduce production cost and lower prices to boost competitiveness. Selection of crops must be linked to market outlets and branding. He said scientific application should be boosted while connectivity between farmers and businesses has to be enhanced.
