(VOVworld) – The Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission and Can Tho provincial authorities on Thursday discussed ways to tighten links among southwestern provinces and restructure Can Tho’s agriculture.

Participants agreed that a main theme is needed for regional links, from which local authorities can design specific action plans such as climate change or regional data.

To restructure Can Tho province’s agriculture, participants recommended that the province increase its cooperation with other provinces, the government, scientists, enterprises, and farmers. The province needs to apply new technology, improve production processes for each variety, and invest more in agriculture.

Deputy Head of the Commission Le Vinh Tan underscored the need to shift links from “bilateral” to “multilateral” to integrate regional economic strength.
