Special televised program “Eternal epic” honors people with meritorious services

(VOVWORLD) -A special art program entitled "Eternal epic “was televised live on Wednesday evening connecting Hang Duong Cemetery of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province and Martyrs Cemetery A1 of Dien Bien province to mark the 76th Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27).

President Vo Van Thuong attended the program in Con Dao. Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha from the location in Dien Bien city sent his warm regards, deep affection and gratitude to the revolutionary veterans, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, and people with meritorious services to the revolution throughout the country.

The history and nation of Vietnam will forever remember and be proud of the unyielding will of our forefathers to regain peace, independence, freedom, prosperity and happiness, the Deputy Prime Minister said.
“To be worthy of the previous generations’ contributions and sacrifices, we will continue to do better work of paying debts of gratitude to those who have rendered great services to the Fatherland, renovating and embellishing martyrs' cemeteries, and educating patriotism for future generations. The heroic history and aspiration for peace, prosperity, and happiness are precious spiritual resources that give strength to the entire Party, People and Army to successfully carry out national renovation, development, and defense,” he said.
The art program "Eternal epic" praised the good tradition of drinking water, remembering its source and delivered a profound respect for the value of independence and freedom and the aspirations for peace of the Vietnamese people.
