Repertoire praising patriotism and the beauty of Vietnamese landscape were performed to promote national pride and encourage the young generation to contribute more to national development and defense. Nguyen Duy Minh, Secretary of the Da Nang municipal Youth Union said the Youth Union gave 3,000 chung cakes and 500 gifts to the poor, disadvantaged families, and soldiers’ relatives for happy Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday. Minh said: “We give presents to children of fishermen in Da Nang and soldiers of Region 3 Navy, hoping that they will have a happy Tet. The municipal Youth Union also delivers gifts to policy beneficiaries in Hai Chau district. We want to promote the spirit of sharing and empathy.”

A similar event took place the same day in Quang Nam province, giving 100 gifts to disadvantaged families in the An Hoa port of Nui Thanh district.
