(VOVworld)-Yen Bai province opened Spring Newspaper Festival 2017 on Wednesday. The displayed publications featured the outstanding achievements of localities and Vietnam made last year in politics, economics, culture, and defense.

The journalistic works also covered preparations for the Lunar New Year and prospects for the coming spring. The Spring Newspaper Festival will run through Saturday.

A similar event was held in Quang Ninh province the same day, gathering more than 300 publications by local and central media agencies. The works report on socio-economic development of Quang Ninh and the rest of Vietnam. The festival will continue until February 1^st, the fifth day of the first lunar month.
