The 8-day meeting chaired by National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue that concluded on Wednesday was the Committee’s longest session this year. The Committee gave opinions on six draft laws, and applauded the coordination among National Assembly bodies in drafting these documents, which demonstrated their commitment to renovation. Chairman Hue urged the improvement of laws to create breakthroughs for long-term development.
“The National Assembly Standing Committee has added amendments and supplements to the Criminal Procedure Code to this year’s legislative program to be put on the table of the upcoming National Assembly session. The Committee will contribute ideas to the Government’s proposal and comment on the authority and calculation of statistics of centrally-run localities, such as macro-economic indicators, GDP, and per capita income,” said Chairman Hue.
