Deputy Ngo Duy Hieu from Hanoi said the State President has done an excellent job as the top leader in internal and external affairs, promoting trust and solidarity among people.

Deputy Vu Tien Loc from Thai Binh province said, “The Party leader and State President have strongly accelerated the fight against corruption."

"This tenure also saw great achievements in diplomacy, integration, showing Vietnam’s strong will and determination to catch up with modern trends, and mobilizing international resources for national development.”

Deputies agreed that the most successful and impressive achievement of the government over the past 5 years was the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The success in the fight against COVID-19 was attributed to the government’s activeness and vanguard role to respond to the pandemic. When COVID-19 first appeared, the government took an immediate action to deal with the situation," said Mr. Le Thanh Van, a deputy from Ca Mau.

"Moreover, the Health Ministry took a leading role in the battle against the pandemic.  In a globally complicated situation, Vietnam has had effective treatment methods and is developing its own COVID-19 vaccines.” Mr. Van added.
