State President presents 5,000 national flags to fishermen
(VOVWORLD) - President Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented 5,000 national flags to fishermen on Thursday under the program “One million national flags for fishermen.”

The program, an initiative of the Lao Dong (Labour) newspaper, was launched in 2019, and has delivered more than 400,000 national flags to fishermen in coastal areas, and residents of border areas and border posts.
It plans to provide 560,000 more flags to 28 coastal provinces and cities to promote solidarity and encourage fishermen and residents and soldiers in border areas to defend Vietnam’s sovereignty.
