(VOVWORLD) - Storm Goni will continue to move west-southwestward and will weaken into a tropical depression, according to Vietnam’s National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

As of Thursday morning, the storm’s eye was about 330 kilometers east of Quang Ngai and Phu Yen coast.
Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, and surrounding provinces will endure heavy rain on Thursday and Friday. The natural disaster risk has been raised to level three.
Localities have been instructed to continue measures to prevent landslides, and ships and boats to seek shelter from the storm.
